Remembering What Jesus Saved Us from

When Jesus died and rose again from death, Jesus saved us from:

what I call, the 3 "S's:

1. Sin: exercising our own will by disobeying God's commands, for sin is the transgression(violation) of the law(Word of God) 1 John 3:4
2. Separation from God: And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity(enemy) thereby Ephesians 2:16
3. Satan: accuser of our Brethren Rev 12:10 /For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John3:8

and the 3 "P's" of sin:

1. Penalty of sin: for the wages(payment) of sin is death...Romans 6:23
2. Power of sin: where as by one man(Adam) sin entered into the world and death by sin...Romans 5:12
3. Presence of sin: yet to come, Who shall change our vile(sinful, impure) body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body...Phi 3:21

We continually need to ask the Lord to keep our hearts on the mark, the prize of the high calling of God and hold our thoughts captive.

Memorization of scripture is one important way to me and hopefully you to do just that because the darkness of this world stains our hearts and minds we need to be reminded that this is not our permanent home now and our different life circumstances will not alter our hope in Him; to keep our hearts on things above (Colossians 3) by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
Here are some scripture to remember(memorize) Jesus's finished work on the cross t and resurrection for us:

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 1 Peter 1:3

Keep looking up for his coming draweth nigh. Watch and pray!
