Bible Archeology

In Matthew 27:51 we read, "And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent(torn) in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent(split)". Why did the rocks rent? Surely, there was a purpose. I believe the answer lies in this link below. The Old Testament Covenant was prophetically and physically fulfilled in Jesus (Savior) Christ (Messiah) unto the New Covenant in his blood for our sin. Bible Archeology proves the Bible to be true.
