Unfortunately, Judas Iscariot!
In John 12:1-6 we read, Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
John 6:70-71 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
John 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
John 13:26 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
Let us not stop praying for our family and children to truly be saved and walk with Jesus because here you have a son who's Father(Simon the leper no-more) thinks he is ok with God because he is one of Jesus's disciples, closest to God, but in reality he betrays Him. That is the next thing Judas does after the memorial occasion of being in his and his father's house is to find a way to betray Jesus. Very sad but.......
Let this be a warning of examination to us, "Do you attend all the Church meetings, services, sermons and studies?" As my Brother in Christ whose testimony was he was playing "the perfect Pharisee" came to Jesus after years of being in a Christian school, with Christian parents, and going to church most of his life, was convicted just a few years ago to accept Jesus after truly repenting and accepting Jesus not just as Savior but also as Lord.
Jesus is our Savior from sin, Satan, hell, and separation from God by the blood of his cross but Jesus is also our Lord(Ruler Over All) of our life(all actions, thoughts, attitudes, intents,etc.)
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Psalm 126: 5-6 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. (This will bear fruit for family and friends who get saved after we have prayed for their salvation with long suffering and God graciously answers)
Are there family members and friends you need to start praying for?
