This past week at one of the buildings I help manage, there was a time deadline to try to correct a problem with 2 of the main lobby plasma tv programs. But in order to get to the core of the problem, the safety lock and the connections had to first be disconnected.
As I had someone to help me remove the tv from the wall, the Contractor who was going to repair the problem, fell into a snag. The connections came undone with no problem but the safety lock would not be removed from the frame with one hand.
So the Contractor had to let go the tv to free up his other hand in order to properly remove the lock. As I repositioned myself from the corner to the center of the plasma to take the weight of burden solely upon myself, I quickly realized that the size and weight of the plasma was more overwhelming than expected after the first 2 minutes of holding it.
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, "Lord now I know a little how it must have felt when you bore the weight of the cross upon yourself," the burden of the sin of the whole world was pressed upon his flesh.
For it is written, For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him 2 Corinthians 5:21
Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
I had to thank him after experiencing such a weight of burden even though it was for a few agonizing minutes and could not be compared to the suffering agony he went through for me and you.
Let us remember Lord Jesus even at work though we bear the weight of different types of burdens. This is where we keep our heart on things above....Colossians 3:1,2
