Treasures In Your Pocket

I met a gentleman this week at a seminar who was discussing the value of investments. During his presentation, he stopped and pulled out his wallet from his pants pocket. He had 3 checks, and gave it to one sitting in the audience; one for $100,000.00+ another for $81,000.00+ and another for $10,000.00. He was emphasizing the VALUE in the truth of proper investing which can help you make money and change your life. And it was very legitimate and he was quite normal and humble about his finances because he wanted to lead us in the direction which can help replicate the same.


I respect money but don't love it because the Bible says "the love of money is the root of all evil." Which I believe keeps many away from God and his salvation by preoccupying their time with work, work, work,...or can lead many away from God and his provisions by enjoying it's temporary pleasures.


At the end of his presentation and was about to depart, it hit me...Wow, what I have in my poor pocket is MORE VALUABLE than what was in his! He just didn't know it. What was it? A Gospel tract! Which contains the TREASURE of EVERLASTING LIFE.... through Jesus our Lord.

Yes the money can do many things on earth, but we can not take THINGS to Heaven. The money will satisfy for a brief moment but what if "you gain the whole world and lose your ONLY SOUL?" as Jesus said then what a waste.
