Amend*, husband and father of three, had been possessed by an evil spirit for five years. He acted like a madman: throwing things, beating people, and rampaging through his village.
His wife was forced to keep him tied up in his home. She bound his hands and legs. She also had to dress him and feed him. This was a tremendous burden on the family.
Their neighbors in the village suggested his family visit the witch doctors. They took him to more than fifteen of them, but the witch doctors could do nothing for him. Then his family sought help from reputable medical doctors, but they also had no answers. Amend and his family lost all hope.
One day a film team arrived in Amend’s village to show “JESUS.” His wife brought him to see the film that night. Amend was captivated by the miracles of Christ, especially when he saw Him casting out demons. Amend believed he would be cured if he placed his faith in Christ. He requested prayer, and as the film team prayed over him, God delivered him.
Amend was finally free after years of terrible bondage. What a reason to celebrate!
Today, Amend is learning to walk in Christ and is being discipled. Living in Christ, he is happier than ever before.
